Hello my dears, did you miss me? I’ve been pretty busy with projects for the past couple days, so I haven’t had as much time for blogging.
This Saturday, I attended the 3rd annual Hairy Party at El Rio.
This party asked it’s attendees to arrive wearing a wig or fake mustache, so on Friday I decided to break out the wig a little early for a pre-party test run. So, this weekend became Wig Weekend.
Here’s how I looked on both nights:
I’ve had this wig since 8th grade when I played Snow White in a middle school theatrical production.
It cost me $10 at the time, and has held up better than any other wig I’ve ever owned.
That said, I’ve only ever worn this wig once in any context other than Halloween or theatre.
It’s high time I put it to good use.
I’m not exactly sure who this girl is, but I know she isn’t me. Perhaps I should name her.
On Friday, I gave the wig a dry run at Paul Nathan’s absinthe party, LoucheSF.
I went mostly to check out my friend Doctor Popular’s yoyo routine at the midnight cabaret, but there were lots of other performers that did not dissapoint.
We also encountered the best no parking sign ever:
They use the guitar hero controllers and some software to make awesome music.
& check out their rad wigs.
I had a great weekend, did you?
