Inspiration — Week of 7/18

My inspiration for this week was mostly vintage typewriter ads. I looked at a lot of them when I was coloring that last piece I drew of Gala, because I wanted to capture that hand-colored look.
There’s also this amazing black and white photo, which I would love to identify. Anyone recognize it?
What inspired you guys this week?
Ahhh, that’s from a fairly recent editorial. Vogue, I think. Shit! I can’t name the model… if you check community.livejournal.com/foto_decadent & go back about… maybe… 100 pages (gulp) you will find it. Not the most efficient way, but still!
I’ve been inspired by steampunk, art deco, automata, and (tying it all together) BioShock. Have you seeeeeen that game? It’s mindblowing beautiful (and completely and utterly fucked up.) There’s even a downloadable PDF of the limited art book on the official site — because one of the designers though the game was too gorgeous not to be shared. How nice is that?
